The idea for The Modern Canine came about in 2022 when we realized we weren’t happy and fulfilled with what we were doing in our careers. We were yearning for something more rewarding and have always had a love and passion for dogs. Although I (Monika) have 10+ years of experience in the pet industry, I wanted to solidify something more full-time to really focus on my passion!

Since starting The Modern Canine we finally feel like we are pursuing our purpose in life - to educate pet parents on nutrition and curate the best of the best products for their furry loved ones!

Additionally, we are the proud pet parents of four dogs who all require regular grooming. We were sick of seeing grooming salons that overbook so our goal was to create a calmer grooming environment.
